Newscoop is a collective of independent news contributors, a news hub delivering the inconvenient facts and stories that mainstream outlets choose to avoid.
Partnering with dozens of the world’s best independent news agencies, Newscoop is a home for independent media: citizen reporters and young journalists who contribute the news of their towns, their regions, countries and cultures. And reporting from first-rate independent news outlets that offers context and clarity, helping readers navigate complex topics and see connections between events and trends that might otherwise feel unconnected.
Newscoop is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Working not only with universities around the world, but also with many of the most trusted independent news media outlets, we’re broadening the information horizon of readers on the issues most threatening to global stability: climate, authoritarianism, a free press, migration, nuclear escalation, and power/land grabs.
Wars are raging around the world, and fully half the world’s population is scheduled to vote in 2024 — the biggest election year in global history. In the current geopolitical climate, independent news is a critical source of trustworthy news for those who seek it.
